I've been wanting to try out Tim Ho Wan since it's been a while since I had their Michelin worthy dim sum in Hong Kong. I was skeptical of their franchise would be as good as the meal I had in Hong Kong but I'm always down to try something at least once! My favorites: 1. Siu Mai 2. Bean curd/Tofu skin wrapped mushrooms 3. Smashed cucumbers Skip: 1. Chicken feet! This was the most disappointing dish I had! The chicken feet was hard and the skin was not soft at all, the cartilage were very hard to eat Must order: Sesame balls with custard filling! This was my FAVORITE ALL TIME dish that I had it was so good that I ordered a second dish! The inside was filled with the best yellow gooey custard that is best eaten when warm.

The Baked BBQ Buns are a must-get! Those will be the death of me and the reason I don't have abs at the beach this summer. Super buttery buns and savory pork filling. The dim sum here is high quality and everything was above average. The inside of the restaurant is clean and spacious. The Har Gow and the Steamed Rice Rolls with Shrimp High were good and hit the spot. Not on the paper menu but the stick rice wrapped in banana leaves was delicious and I recommend getting an order.

One of the best dim sum restaurants in Las Vegas if not the world, Tim Ho Wan brings authentic cantonese cuisine all the way from Hong Kong to Las Vegas. The restaurant is spacious and very clean plus I love to eat in the side room with a full service bar and much more private. The pricing is very reasonable and there's no way you leave without being stuffed along with a to go bag. Must try include the shrimp har gao and pork shumai. The cucumbers in spicy sauce are an amazing appetizer and I love the shrimp/pork wonton noodle soup which is one of the best values in my opinion. Staff are always friendly and super fast! Check them out today!

Arrived here with a party of 3 without reservations but were seated without any problem. Food came out in a timely manner and everything was best hot obviously haha * Geisha Sour: Suntory Toki Japanese Whisky, Citrus Yuzu, Oolong tea, Simple Syrup for $14 x 4 * Sunrise Spritz: Mango Puree, Fresh Lime juice, Topped with Club Soda for $9 * Short Rib $15.95 - this was a favorite! * Deep Fried Spring Roll With Egg White And Shrimp $7.95 - this was delicious! * Steamed Beef Ball With Bean Curd Skin for $7.95 * Steamed Shrimp Dumplings(har gow) for $8.50 * Steamed Pork Dumplings With Shrimp (Siu Mai) for $8.50 * Chinese broccoli for $12.95 - would pass on this. * Steamed Rice Roll With Shrimp And Chinese Chives for $8.95 * Steamed abalone for $76 - definitely pass on this. It was overcooked. Some pros and cons to this place but coming from SF and a family that has cooking experience this wasn't anything mind blowing. If you have a longing for dim sum and you're in the area, sure but I would explore further options on the next trip to Vegas. We had to flag out waitress down for our check. Drinks were a bit too sweet but once it watered down a bit was much better.

Located in the Palms great place for a variety of dim sum dishes. It's quite easy to order they give you a piece of paper and you just check off what you want to order and hand the paper to the server. We were seated immediately and we had a late lunch at about 2pm. Everything was great. Just wish the servers had some personality. They just dropped the food and check and left lol.

I've heard about this restaurant even when I lived in Irvine, CA and I was happy to hear we had one in Vegas. Despite it being on the other side of town for me, the food itself will send me driving myself back there time and time again. I wouldn't consider myself a huge dim sum fan but it is part of my childhood and culture so I will embrace a good dim sum place when I can. I've heard that they're a Michelin star dim sum restaurant but don't quote me on it so I had high expectations of it. The first time I had it was takeout and I was not disappointed. It was soooo good but then again dim sum is good even when it's takeout so I had to try it in person. The place itself is very nice and clean but their booth seating is not comfortable and most likely you'll face your neighbor and that can be awkward. Our server was friendly but not attentive. And we had to ask her multiple times to refill our water which eventually my husband had to go up to her and ask and when she did finally bring it it tasted like gross tap water. Definitely not the water we initially had when we were seated. The food however was excellent. It's rare that I would even not have anything critiques to mention but there wasn't. Although I ate a lot I left feeling lightweight and satisfied. Bbq pork buns are officially my middle name now, that's how much I liked it. Everything else was great tasting but still the standard dim sum you'd expect.

My party of 4 were able to walk in without a reservation to our pleasant surprise since we came on a busy weekend! Our table was ready within 15 minutes of checking in. The interior of the restaurant felt spacious and the decor was very nice. Everything looked really clean and sleek. The servers were attentive right away with drinks. We ended up ordering the pork buns, shumai, har gow, pan fried noodles with pork, eggplant shrimp, spicy pork dumplings, and the lava egg sesame balls. Everything was AMAZING! the pork buns had a great flaky exterior and sweet and savory interior. The shumai was "the best I've ever had" per my boyfriend. The hargow could be skipped for next time but still good. The shrimp tasted fresh with a nice bite. The spicy pork dumplings were flavorful with the sauce. The pan fried noodles were good, but better when eaten in combination with other dishes. Lastly, the lava egg sesame balls were a must! The inside filling was flavorful and rich, complimented by the nice chewy exterior. Overall, the price point was also reasonable and our service was great. Definitely will come again when in Las Vegas!

We asked a few people for recommendations for dinner. From our Uber driver, to the guy from the shop across the street to the casino cashier, they all recommended Tim Ho Wan. Though they all warned us that we needed reservations, we decided to give it a try anyway and were seated within a few minutes. I really didn't know what to order but the menu and placemat gave a detailed enough description to give me confidence that I'd order something I'd enjoy. If you're a newbie to dim sum like me, make your choices, then subtract one or two because you inevitably will order too much. We ended up ordering deep fried eggplant with shrimp, pan fried chicken dumplings with ginger essence, steamed rice rolls with shrimp and Chinese chives, blanched Chinese broccoli with fried garlic, steamed rice and fried silky milk sticks. First off, we did not need the rice, chalk that up as too much food. Two items stood out for us as exceptional - the fried eggplant and the milk sticks, the latter being for dessert. We did not care for the Chinese broccoli, I couldn't bite through it and my husband couldn't cut through it even with a knife. That dish is a hard no. The other thing that should have been good but wasn't was the jasmine tea. There were so many bitter tea leaves floating on top that trying to drink it was unpalatable. I asked our server who told me it was supposed to be that way but I'm not convinced. Our service was stellar and even the manager came over for a little chat. Considering Vegas prices, Tom Ho Wan was a bargain - you will never believe this but our bill was less than $70 with tip included. Definitely worth a trek off the strip.

This is a Michelin Star dim sum restaurant, and it shows. The quality of the food is top notch. The pricing here is significantly more than a typical dim sum restaurant but what you're getting is high quality & well made food, excellent service, and a beautiful decorated restaurant. All the items we had were very good, however the baked bbq pork buns are considered their most popular item. I have to say I can see why - they're baked perfectly with a nice crust, sweet on the outside but savory on the inside. I'd recommend Tim Ho Wan for those that want to take guests/friends/dates and impress them with an experience dim sum.
